Your right, I completely forgot about needing 16" wheels. When I changed mine over I was getting new wheels anyway because I wanted to go to a narrower wheel.
I agree with putting a hole on spending. That's why my crawler has been sitting for 2 years now. Chris

I would try a different brake pad, I use the Porter Field Kevlar pads.. seem to do better, but alot more brake dust!
